When the President & CEO of International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) challenged Sport&Health CEO, Mark Fisher, to take the ALS #IceBucketChallenge in honor of fitness pioneer, Augie Nieto, he couldn't refuse!
Augie is the founder and retired chief executive of Life Fitness and the chairman of Octane Fitness. He was diagnosed with ALS in 2005, and since that time his organization, Augie's Quest, has raised more than $40 million in support of finding effective ALS treatments.
"On behalf of our team, I will happily take this challenge - and I challenge others in the industry who have long supported Augie's Quest to do the same," Fisher said.
