As we continue to raise our awareness on the importance of mental health we are realizing that, with physical health, the two go hand in hand. Gone are the days when society held the super chiseled in high regard, the ultimate flex is having your physical 𝗮𝗻𝗱 mental health together. Here are a few ways that we enjoy flexing our mental muscles.   ❤️

We love practicing Yoga in our Mind/Body studio as the static poses and emphasis on breath help us develop focus, concentration and self control. Swimming is also a great activity to develop more focus as the body must move as one, along with the breath, in order to get from point a to point b without inhaling tons of water. ⁠

Most of our team loves to begin or end their day with reading a good book, reading has shown to improve one's cognitive development and empowers you to empathize with others. ⁠

 

Pro Tip: If you find it hard to fit in a good read in the morning or night, try to pass the time on our treadmills or stationary bikes with a good book. 😉

Our go to is any team sport we can play in the clubs like basketball! Team sports force your mind how to learn to be in synch with your team mates, improve your communications skills for increased effectiveness on demand, and teach you how to pick up on non verbal communication in order to outwit your opponent!⁠
