Traditional Massage Techniques, Deep Tissue & Swedish Massage
As a part of her volunteer outreach efforts, Heather has performed seated massage at the Heartly House, a safe house for women and children who have been victims of abuse. Her fieldwork was completed at The Washington Home, The Lisner-Louise Dickson-Hurt Home in Washington, D.C. and The University of Maryland. She has been recently working with breast cancer survivors to release the tension and aid in the reduction of scar tissue resulting from surgery and reconstruction.
Admittedly, most of her time and energy go into her massage work but other interests include vocal expression as a singer, reading, taking long walks, listening to music and spending time with family and friends. Heather believes that optimal health is best obtained through exercise and the integration of mind & body through massage.
